Sushant Singh Rajput case: Union Minister RK Singh alleges Rhea has friends at “higher places”, says Maharashtra Government wanted to avoid CBI enquiry | Hindi Movie News

After much ado over the much-talked-about Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, the case was finally handed over the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) by the Supreme Court. Following the recent revelations and developments in the case, Union Minister RK Singh recently alleged that Rhea must have friends at higher places.
Talking about the case, RK Singh told Times Now that Rhea must have friends at higher places and that is probably one of the reasons that the Maharashtra Government was trying to avoid a CBI enquiry in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s case.

Before the CBI took over the case, Mumbai Police questioned and recorded statements of more than 50 people in connection with the case. However, even after 40-45 days of investigations, there was no breakthrough in the case.
After Sushant’s tragic demise, his father KK Singh filed an FIR in Patna, Bihar against Rhea Chakraborty alleging abetting to suicide and Money laundering amongst many other charges. Following this, CBI registered a case against the actress and her family.

The Enforcement Directorate, while probing the money laundering angle, found some chat records that gave a drug abuse angle to the case. The Narcotics Control Bureau then came into the picture to probe the alleged drug angle in the case. Following their investigation, Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty along with Sushant’s manager has been arrested and produced before the court.
