Speaking about the same to a news channel, Sonam reportedly said that she had some stressful times in the last three or four months. According to her, there is a lot of stuff that happens on social media, there is a lot of hate and talk about a lot of things and all this puts her in a very low and negative space. However, she revealed that she is doing much better now.
After Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death, people were protesting against the star kids in Bollywood. The actress too was receiving many hateful messages from his fans, who believed that the late actor was a victim of nepotism and did not get his due in the industry. Following this, the ‘Neerja’ actress had temporarily disabled the comment section on Instagram.
Sonam also recently hailed Jaya Bachchan for defending Bollywood in her speech in the parliament. Mrs Bachchan objected to the characterisation of the film industry as a ‘gutter’ and its alleged defamation by some of its members. She was referring to comments made about the industry by Kangana Ranaut and Ravi Kishan.
On the work front, Sonam was last seen in ‘The Zoya Factor’ co-starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role. She is yet to announce her next project.
