The actress, on Wednesday morning, set out from her parental home in Bhanwla village, Mandi District for Chandigarh where she will board her flight to Mumbai city. Taking to her handle, the actress not only proclaimed her love for the city and the state of Maharashtra but also gave glory to the great Maratha ruler, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Sharing throwback photos from her Mumbai home, she acknowledged all that the city gave her and the love she reciprocated. “This is my home in Mumbai, I believe that Maharashtra has given me everything, but I have also given my devotion and love to Maharashtra as a daughter who can give her life to protect and save women’s honor and dignity in the birthplace of Shivaji Maharaj. Jai Maharashtra.”
Recalling her teenage days, when she came to the city at just 16-years, Kangana shared that she heard of goddess ‘Mumbadevi’ and went to see her. “I left Himachal at the age of twelve and went to Chandigarh Hostel, then lived in Delhi and came to Mumbai when I was sixteen years old, some friends said that Mumbadevi lives in Mumbai, we all went to see Mumbadevi Devi.”

She went on to add, “All my friends went away but Mumbadevi kept me with her.”
Kangana has been creating quite a stir on social media with her tweets comparing the city to Pakistan occupied Kashmir and the Taliban. She has also been engaged in a war of words with members of the state’s ruling party.
Alleging threat to her life, the actress sought protection from the central government, while also stating her apprehensions about the Mumbai Police. The Centre, on Monday, granted the actress ‘Y-Plus’ security on her arrival in the city.
