While the world of entertainment is returning to normal with new norms, the audience also seems to have accepted it as they poured out in large numbers with face-masks to watch the movie in theatres.
Nolan, who has entertained the audience with films like ‘Inception’, ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘Dunkirk’ and others, has managed to weave his magic once again. According to a Hollywood portal, ‘Tenet’ has managed to earn more than $50 million at the box office.
The film which stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson and others in pivotal roles is the first Hollywood blockbuster to be released in cinema halls since the lockdown. While fans have stepped out in large numbers and watched the film in the theatres, the film is reported to have collected nearly $53 million overseas.
In normal circumstances, the figure would have seemed to be a disappointment given the fact that it’s a Nolan film. But the figures have turned out to be better than expected and a good word-of-mouth seems to be helping it excel as well.
Meanwhile, actor Tom Cruise, who is reported to be shooting for the next instalment of his ‘Mission Impossible’ franchise also joined the audience and watched ‘Tenet’ in a London theatre. Not only that but he even documented his experience and shared it on social media.
The report also suggests that the film has managed to do excellent at the box office and is expected to continue its successful run at the US and Chinese box office as well. While the next big release, Daniel Craig‘s James Bond flick ‘No Time To Die‘ set to release on 12th November in the UK, ‘Tenet’ is expected to excel at the box office as the makers aim to release it in other regions too.
